1st Communion for four of our youth. Welcome to the Lord's Table, Peter, Braelyn, Emma, Landon
This year, 2016, September 11th fell on a Sunday. So our normal Rally Sunday changed. We decided to remember the 15th Anniversary of September 11th, by finding a way to thank the police, fire, and emt departments in our area for their service to us.
We put together 12 trays of snacks and other good things to eat and then took them to the twelve departments in North Branch, Cambridge, Isanti, and Rush City area. Everyone participated and thought it was a great thing to do.
Even our children helped by putting stuffed animals in plastic bags that were then given to two police and sheriff departments to distribute to families in need.
Went to "Feed my starving children" on July 15th and learned that the whole group that period packed enough food to feed 83 children for one year!
Went to a Twins game on July 17th, the Twins lost but we still had a great time.
Our outdoor worship service on July 3rd was a wonderful event. Perfect day, great music, followed with a picnic potluck lunch. Let's do it again next year!
The annual kroppkakor dinner was another great event. Lots of good food and lots of good conversation and company. Thanks to all who helped!
Beautiful place settings and table decorations, truly highlighting the Swedish heritage of this dinner. We have some wonderfully talented people here who are wiling to share their gifts and talents.
Our yearly trip to, "Feed my starving children" is always a satisfying event. We packed over 16 boxes!
Lots of work done in an hour and a half. "Feed my starving children" is always available for anyone who want to go and help pack food that ends up going all over the world.
The Second Annual Car Show, featured many cars that were not present the first year. A total of nine cars and one tractor.
Two highlights were these to "tribute" vehicles, dedicated for fallen firemen.
All set for Advent and Christmas!
THANKS to all who supported our giving tree, all the doves went quickly and that means a lot of families in our area will have a more blessed Christmas.
THANKS to the Mystery Mountain Boys who gave us a wonderful concert on Dec. 6th. In 2016, they will be giving a concert on December 10th.
THANKS to everyone who helped with the Christmas Sunday School/Youth program on the 13th.
