We had our annual blessing of the animals on Oct. 8, 2017. This year's animals included: dogs, cats, a goat. Most years there are also a few horses.
This year, 2017, we are changing up the Kropkakkor dinner a bit and adding Swedish meatballs. This meant we had to have a Swedish meatball competition to see which recipe to use. We have ten entries, all of them good and the winning one is the recipe that will be used this year.
Our Annual Kroppkakor Dinner is coming on Saturday, Octobeer 28th, from 3:30pm - 6:30pm. Along with our famous Kroppkakor, we have expanded the menus to include Swedish Meatballs, green beans, coleslaw, a verity of desserts and other wonderful items. There is also a craft and bake sale in our bell tower room. The meal cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Carry out dinners are available.
1st Communion for four of our youth. Welcome to the Lord's Table, Peter, Braelyn, Emma, Landon
In 2016, September 11th fell on a Sunday. So our normal Rally Sunday changed. We decided to remember the 15th Anniversary of September 11th, by finding a way to thank the police, fire, and emt departments in our area for their service to us.
We put together 12 trays of snacks and other good things to eat and then took them to the twelve departments in North Branch, Cambridge, Isanti, and Rush City area. Everyone participated and thought it was a great thing to do.
Went to a Twins game on July 17th, 2016, the Twins lost but we still had a great time.
Our outdoor worship service on July 3rd, 2016 was a wonderful event. Perfect day, great music, followed with a picnic potluck lunch. Let's do it again next year!
The annual kroppkakor dinner was another great event. Lots of good food and lots of good conversation and company. Thanks to all who helped!
Beautiful place settings and table decorations, truly highlighting the Swedish heritage of this dinner. We have some wonderfully talented people here who are wiling to share their gifts and talents.
All set for Advent and Christmas!
THANKS to all who supported our giving tree, all the doves went quickly and that means a lot of families in our area will have a more blessed Christmas.
