Without a doubt, the best praise band within a 100 mile radius!
First, we need to group the plants together before we can divide them up among the orders that have been received. Good thing we are organized!
It was a pretty and wonderful smelling place to be. Thanks to all who ordered, and all who helped get the orders straight. Hope everyone has a colorful summer and some good vegetables as well!
Our confirmation youth had a "service night" on Wednesday, April 15th. They did a lot of painting - a new Spring Lake Victory Garden sign, both benches, the arbor in front of the Swedish statues. Check out the pictures on the "Confirmation/Youth" page.
The Easter Egg Hunt is about to begin!
Each child received over 20 eggs!
Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
On Sunday, March 8th, 2016, we had a spaghetti supper and variety show. It was a great success! Thanks to the cooks and all those who helped organize, take part in, and watch and be part of this fun event. Here are just a few of the pictures.
The photo booth produced some interesting photos. Who are these people?
"I've been Framed!"
And to think, this was gong on in a church.
This is the group who are going on a Mission Trip to Leech Lake in June. They are: Megan Kubes, Jacob Perales, Pastor Mark, Renell Masloski, Savannah Linkert, Dawson Linkert, Kalli Ledin, not necessarily in any order.
One of these teams has won at least one super bowl. Just sayin.
Jacob and Rebecca did a "stand up" comedy routine.
Before the magic routine, the children sang a couple of songs. What talent!
Brian sang a song he had just learned a couple hours before.
Angela, Rebecca, Megan singing one of their two songs during the Talent part of the variety show.
Abigail performing a dance number.
Rylee, Jamison, Annika getting ready to show us some magic!
These ladies would probably prefer going unnamed since they were not following the instructions from their dance coach, Jorge.
Peter, just finishing his piano solo, well done.
These fellows thought they were the new Village People group, but instead of singing "YMCA", they were sort of singing their version of SLLC.
These ladies look like they are seriously singing a serious song. Had to be there to really know what was going on.
Angela performing a beautiful song on the piano.
There was a time when everything was a blur as Jacob flew over three guys and split a wood block with his foot.
At the Annual Valentine Lunch and Party. Beautiful table and great food.
Everyone had a great time, there were games and prizes and of course, lots of conversation.
One of the many games. Would you believe, "shuffleboard"?
The real fun began when everyone had a chance to make gingerbread houses.
Lots of cool craft items, many with a Swedish flair.
Grind, grind, grind the potatoes, and the ring, ring, ring out the water. What fun?
The hottest job, cooking the krupps, with all the windows open to try to keep it somewhat bearable.
Okay, these are all made, ready for the boiling water.
This was the fun table, often the makers of the krupps would burst into song.
Mmmm, rumor has it that some people ate over ten krupps during the evening.
Horses, dogs, cats, and people, all were blessed.
Waiting their turn.
Mystery trips happen once a year, usually in September or late August. One year it was a boat ride on the St. Croix river. Here is half the folk who went along.
Here is the other half of the folk who went along.
First Annual Car/Truck/Tractor show was filled with quality vehicles. Thanks to all who shared the day with us.
Nothing like a grilled hot dog and extras! All the proceeds went to the local food shelves. We ended up with pretty much a table of canned goods and money donations. Thanks to all those who help make this happen.
